POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Registration
To register for the Joyful Sounds School of Music, complete the Registration Form and register for a course on the courses page. All lessons will be paid through a monthly pricing plan that you may select as you choose your course. Payments will be set up to be automatically drafted from a bank account or charged to a credit card
Fees
The registration fee of $25 per student or $40 per family is due at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable and is paid annually per Academic Year.
A $25.00 NSF fee will be charged for any returned check or declined electronic funds.
Withdrawal
If a student would like to withdraw from lessons, a 30 day written notice will be required by completing a withdrawal form. The 30 days will begin once the withdrawal notice is received. During the 30 day notice period, students will still receive lessons and will be financially responsible for the remaining classes.
Refunds
Full refunds will be given if a student does not complete the enrollment process resulting in class cancelation. We will not offer credits.
Student Absences
Instructors are not obligated to make up lessons missed by students. All other lessons, group classes, and sessions cancelled because the instructor is absent will be made up.
Practice
Students and parents will be made aware of any practice expectations by the instructor.
During The Lesson
Parents are welcome to sit in the waiting area during the lesson. If a student is tardy to their lesson, the lesson time will not be altered and the lesson will end at the originally scheduled time.
Food or Drink
No food or drink will be allowed in the studio other than bottled water.
Studio Closings and Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, a message will be left on the studio's voicemail and a message will be posted on our Website or Facebook page. All lessons missed because of inclement weather will be made up through private lessons or a group session.
Media Release
All photographs, audio, and video of students and families at the studio or events may be used for social media, promotional publications, or press releases. No compensation will be provided for the release. Parents may choose to exempt their student from media publications during the time of registration or before an event.
